The Experience You Need To Build The Life You Want

CA License LMFT 91329

As a licensed marriage and family therapist, my expertise lies in couples therapy and assisting individuals navigating identity and life challenges. Currently, I’m advancing my skills in relational and sex therapy through my studies with South Shore Sexual Health Center. With a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor’s degree in Interpersonal Communication from Pepperdine University and Ryokan College respectively, I bring over eighteen years of experience. Throughout my career, I’ve been deeply involved with diverse health organizations, advocating for bilingual, bi-cultural, LGBTQ+, and marginalized communities. My commitment extends to supporting women facing violence and domestic abuse, as well as counseling transgender, nonbinary, and intersex individuals within correctional settings.

My therapeutic toolkit spans modalities such as Gestalt, Jungian, and Interpersonal psychology, all grounded in a humanistic approach. Through my work, I’ve come to appreciate the intricate complexity of human behavior, driving my passion to empower individuals on their unique journeys.

My skills

I’m deeply passionate about the work I do, finding it both profoundly challenging and incredibly rewarding. I firmly believe that without a profound understanding of oneself and the capacity to empathize with individuals of diverse ages, genders, backgrounds, and issues, therapy cannot be truly effective or fulfilling. Acknowledging the inherent vulnerability of being a psychotherapy patient, where the therapist holds power and control, while the client is exposed, I remain acutely aware of this power dynamic. I am convinced that the therapeutic relationship should embody a system of mutual reciprocal influence. One of my primary goals in psychotherapy is to empower every client to embrace and celebrate their authentic selves. Our identities shape every aspect of our lives, and the freedom to express ourselves authentically is fundamental to our well-being.

That’s why I’m dedicated to offering inclusive and compassionate psychotherapy services to the LGBTQ+ and queer community in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Recognizing the significant role gender needs and diversity play in our lives, I am personally committed to supporting the LGBTQ+ community in navigating their unique challenges.
